Job Description

Shakespeare & Co., a high-end bookstore/café at 69th and Lexington, is seeking a barista with experience who has a passion for coffee, food and hospitality. Shakespeare is in a growth mode and will be opening multiple locations in the NY area, so this position has opportunity for growth in the next 12-24 months.

A barista should be able to taste coffee and espresso, steam milk to its proper texture and be able to do it all with a smile. Shakespeare & Co. prides itself on providing a sense of community for its customers, while enjoying great coffee, excellent food and a wide selection of books. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a busy environment, be well-organized, have a high sense of urgency and attention to detail, be friendly and welcoming. To be considered for this position you must have open availability. Position available immediately.

Minimum Requirements:
Well organized, hospitable
6 months experience in a third wave cafe
