Summary

Chalait is the neighborhood café serving up our signature line of matcha green tea beverages, specialty coffee and teas as well as light breakfast and lunch options. Chalait is currently recruiting for new and experienced baristas to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis. We are looking for outgoing individuals with great customer service skills who are passionate about coffee, tea and food.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

Brewing, serving, and talking about coffee and tea
Stay informed on coffee and tea offerings on a regular basis as well as partnerships with Chalait
Create a warm and friendly experience
Maintain the highest quality and standards in the cafe
Provide an unforgettable experience for customers
Operate the register/POS system efficiently and accurately
Communicate with team members and strive to maintain the highest standards.
Support a positive work environment

Qualifications

Passionate about coffee and tea
Comfortable working in a busy/high volume environment
Demonstrate a strong desire for customer rapport
Strong attention to details with a healthy respect for sanitation and cleanliness
Constantly improve in technique and service
High School diploma
Available on weekends and holidays
Ability to multi-task with ease and never break a sweat doing it

NYC Food Safety Handlers Certificate is a plus
