We are seeking committed, friendly, reliable, and experienced baristas for our one of a kind café.

We specialize in artisanal coffee from Stumptown and rare teas from In Pursuit of Tea, but also serve beer, wine, sake, and house-made food/bakery items. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in providing excellent customer service, has knowledge of La Marzocco machines, coffee and espresso beverages and processes, tea service, flexible and open schedule: available to work mornings and weekdays, with occasional nights and/or weekends, can work quickly under pressure and be a team player.

Responsibilities:
–Provide memorably delightful customer service
–Work in a small team to prepare and serve beverages and food items from the coffee bar
–Be a compelling educator about, and prepare and serve, a variety of artisanal coffees and rare teas in a variety of brewing methods
–Be a compelling educator about, and prepare and serve, a variety of Japanese beers, sakes, and wine.
–Act with creativity, grace, and a serious passion for hospitality
–Demonstrate a love for Cats and a camaraderie with Cat People. (Cat-art latte skills is a huge plus!)
–Basic math and computer/POS skills

Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year experience as a Barista in a NYC café
