Job Description

We use a Mod Bar espresso machine (at this location), Stumptown Coffee Roasters and quality milk.

Requirements:

• Have a minimum of one year NYC experience in a high volume espresso driven coffee shop/cafe
• Knowledge of the coffee and caffeine world (love for making coffee is a must)
• Have a warm, friendly & positive attitude, service minded, hospitality driven
• Well spoken, can easily and confidently speak about coffee drinks, suggestive selling
• Fast paced environment, you thrive in this environment and give 100% during every shift with every customer
• Ability to build a rapport with customers in order to establish relationships with regulars
• Positive vibes, lots of energy, amazing multi-tasker
• NYC Food Handler’s card a plus… or we’ll help you get it
• Ability and confidence to work independently after training
• Must be flexible to work early morning hours, nights and weekends
• One year commitment, minimum

Responsibilities:

• Customer interaction is a large part of our steps of service
• Solid experience making coffee on a serious espresso machine
• Understand what makes an amazing cappuccino, espresso, etc
• Opening/Closing espresso bar
• Latte art skills a plus
• Work neat & clean

Full time, 35-40 hours/week

$12-$15/hour (based on your experience) + tips
