Café Grumpy is looking for full-time baristas for our Manhattan locations in the Financial District, Chelsea, and Midtown.

We are looking for someone who has a love of coffee and passion for the craft of sourcing, roasting and brewing coffee for the communities we represent and serve. As a barista, you are given a role to make delicious specialty coffee and provide excellent customer service at the cafe within one of the many communities we share our coffee with. Each Café Grumpy location is a place where people come together for a sense of community, work, leisure, and most of all, delicious coffee. The role of the barista is to work in conjunction with management and the team in preparing and serving coffee and other beverages, as well as cleaning and maintaining the cafe. They are someone who enjoys working in a busy location (and staying busy during slower periods), driven and confident, be adaptable and flexible and, works well with their team by always setting an example of excellence in coffee preparation and outstanding customer service. You must be a customer focused barista who can effectively communicate, prepare specialty coffee to Cafe Grumpy standards while supporting and encouraging other members in their team. Minimum Requirements:
Friendly & hospitable
Communicative & responsible
1+ year barista experience
DOHMH Food Protection Certificate (preferred)
