Key Responsibilities Include:

Service and Guest Experience
•Participate as an active member of the Support team—this includes all aspects of the Support position (Running, Cucina Runner, Trattoria/Bar Backserver and Polishing).
•Maintain an understanding of the proper steps of service and consistently execute them with efficiency and grace while maintaining a sense of urgency throughout service.
•Accurately identify table and position numbers.
•Acknowledge and engage all guests at the barista counter. Manage guest expectations.
•Efficiently organize orders, manage cash and credit card transactions. Demonstrate proficiency with POS system.
•Demonstrate speed and accuracy with coffee service. Maintain the highest level of quality of coffee and presentation in all hot and cold beverages.
•Understands and applies open-handed service.
•Is conscious of environmental impact and works actively to minimize waste.
•Demonstrates understanding of enlightened salesmanship and seeks opportunities to inform guests about additional barista station offerings (pastry and other to-go items).

Coffee/Tea Knowledge and Beverage Preparation
•Participate in Counter Culture training, as coordinated by the Head Barista.
•Demonstrate knowledge of proper coffee and tea offerings and preparations.
•Stay up-to-date on coffee and tea menu changes.
•Command knowledge of all pastry and to-go items.

Sidework and Station Maintenance
•Act as part of the team to maintain the high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant both before, during and after service.
•Reliably complete all assigned sidework. Set up the Barista station for success.
•Demonstrate knowledge of Department of Health (DOH) standards.
