Boundless Plains Espresso is an independently owned espresso café in the Financial District of New York City. Our emphasis is on delivering premium espresso coffee and a delicious selection of fresh, seasonal, nutritious and inventive Australian-style café dishes, all delivered with a smile.

We opened in August 2017 and since then have brought together a small team of friendly and passionate people dedicated to creating excellent coffee and food, an awesome and friendly customer experience, and a great place to work.

We are now searching for a dedicated full time manager to assist the owner in growing the business, whilst maintaining exceptional standards in our food and beverage program, and furthering our commitment to friendly and memorable customer service, cleanliness and exceptional food safety practices.

For the coffee nerds out there, we partner with Brooklyn-based roaster Parlor Coffee and for our espresso program use the latest La Marzocco Linea PB with Auto-Brew-Ratio scales in the drip tray.

Responsibilities will include:
– supervision and management of staff, including on shift training;
– set and implement exceptional standards of personalised and memorable customer service;
– manage weekly ordering of inventory for food and beverage programs;
– ensure health, safety and sanitation guidelines are met and ensure store cleanliness is maintained
– management of weekly staff schedule and attendance;
– barista and other cafe service duties as required; and
– assist owner in menu development and implementation of operational procedures.

Qualifications:
– Minimum 2+ years of barista experience plus previous managerial experience
– Exceptional communication, team building and hospitality skills
– Ability to take initiative, problem solve and think outside the box
– Team oriented with great interpersonal skills
– Flexible schedule including weekend availability (at least one day)
– NYC Food Safety Handlers Certificate
