Job Description
Functions:
Coffee, Food and Beverage Responsibilities
- Prepares and serves coffee and all food and beverage items by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques.
- Inventory and order coffee, tea, milk, sweeteners, cups and all other necessary supplies from approved vendors.
- Develop a deep knowledge about coffee brand and varieties and of ingredients in all items.
- Ability to learn and adhere to all food and beverage safety and sanitation procedures, policies and regulations.
- Clean the coffee-bar area including all machines and other areas within the spa as needed.
- Wash and sanitize dishes, cups and utensils as needed.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
Customer Service and Sales:
- Greets and welcomes all clientele entering the spa and the in-house coffee bar.
- Demonstrate an energetic and positive attitude, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed customer service expectations.
- Exceptional ability to develop clientele, strong relationships, and influence customers.
- Strong problem solving skills and use of sound judgment.
- Passionate and energetic about skin care/beauty with a desire to grow within the brand.
- Take initiative to present and sell merchandise in a professional manner through product demonstration while focusing on the features and benefits of the product line.
Other Skills:
- Strong listening and verbal communication skills that includes the use of proper grammar, professional and polite tone with co-workers and clientele.
- Superior customer service, people and client relations’ skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work quickly while maintain a calm and friendly demeanor.
- Keen attention to detail, highly organized, proactive and takes initiative.
- Capable of handling the POS system with cash and credit card transactions.
Qualifications
- Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years customer service, food and beverage industry preferred.
- Develops a knowledge of coffee and skin care industry and products through training, reading, and following trends being published in a variety of media outlets.
- Physical Demands
- Required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders.
- Must be able to reach above eye level.
- Position involves constant moving and standing. Involves standing for at least four consecutive hours.
- Involves lifting and carrying at least 30 lbs.
- Other skills
- French speaking preferred.
- Must be able to work independently and also within a team environment.
- Work Hours
- Available to work a flexible schedule, which may include day, evening, weekend and holiday hours.
