Part-Time Barista

Think Coffee started in NYC 11 years ago with community & good coffee in mind. We wanted to provide the best possible coffee with the least possible carbon footprint and to have a positive effect on the places we get coffee from rather than the ever increasing negative ones we were seeing. We are a growing company who promotes solely from within. All of our management, trainers, etc have started as baristas. Job Description

Pay is hourly plus tips and is based on experience and wether or not you are certified as a Food Handler by the NYC Dept of Health. Health insurance options are available to FT employees. We use a Square pos system and everyone assists with all aspects of running the coffee shop. This is a customer service job and so we are hoping to find someone with good people skills and an ability to remain cool in busy and sometimes stressful situations. This is a safe space. Everyone shall be treated with respect and dignity in this house. All genders and humans from all walks of life are encouraged to apply as long as you have a good work ethic, love coffee and like to treat others well. (Love for community & the environment a plus) Barista experience is preferred, but customer service experience and a passion for coffee will suffice.
