Berg’n Seeks Barista!

Berg’n, a 9,000 square foot beer hall in Crown Heights, is hiring a barista to serve locally sourced pastries and coffee at our coffee bar. Two years of barista experience is preferred. We are a close knit team looking for an individual who understands that the core of our job is to serve coffee, maintain relationships with our regulars, and build relationships with our new customers.

We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals armed with positive attitudes, backed up by un-crushable work ethic. This role is ideal for someone looking to join a small team and wants to learn more about service and coffee. We have a long standing relationship with Parlor Coffee roasters and offer a comprehensive training at their facility upon hiring.

Ideal prospects:

*MUST be available to work weekends and have the flexibility to cover shifts as needed

*have the ability to consistently pull shots, micro-foam milk, and pour latte art

*comfortable working alone and with others

*are neat, organized and able to assist in maintaining cleanliness of the space

*maintain a professional, positive, supportive work environment at all times; 86 egos, whining and drama; understand the value of thoughtful and efficient service

*maintain calm under pressure, have good multitasking skills, and able to lift at least 40 pounds

*really dig American craft beer, natural wine, top notch coffee and delicious treats
