Job Description

We are looking for honest, hardworking, and personable team players to be a part of our establishment. Candidates must have a consistently positive demeanor and should be detail-oriented with the ability to work in both high and low volume atmospheres while maintaining a high standard of service.

While a friendly personality is paramount, coffee knowledge and barista experience is a must. Our establishment operates as a craft beer bar in the evening, and we are looking to launch our morning coffee / café business. We have partnered with a renowned NYC coffee company to provide product and training support.

In addition to a full espresso-based coffee menu and drip coffee, we will also serve an assortment of artisanal baked goods, including donuts, croissants, and pastries. While our baristas will focus much of their time on coffee service, they will also need to be comfortable pouring the occasional beer, wine, or mixed drink.

Having a NYCDOH license is preferred, but not required. The company will sponsor the cost of certification.

Works well with others as part of a cohesive team
Dials machine in and maintains consistent espresso extraction as per our recipes & procedures
Follows our recipes and presentation standards with both speed and consistency
Reliable and hardworking, your teammates can always count on you!
Maintains an organized and hygienic working environment, cleans routinely and restocks as required
Skills and qualifications:

Minimum one-year experience working in a detail-oriented, specialty coffee environment and using a manual espresso machine.
Minimum two years’ experience in a customer service environment and a passion to provide an exceptional customer experience
Experience working with a Point of Sale (POS) system
