Job Description

We are a new cafe located just south of Central Park on 58th Street between 5th and 6th Avenue. We are dedicated to supporting local business, reflected in the products that we provide to our guests. Applicants need not have ample experience as a barista, but should have a general affinity for coffee and have great communication skills. We will provide training as necessary for those who do not already have some experience brewing coffee/pulling shots/steaming milk. Responsibilities will include processing orders for both food and drinks, preparing drinks, maintaining overall cleanliness both behind the counter and in our seating area for guests, some restocking and organization, and washing dishes whenever necessary. Compensation will include both credit card and cash tips, and an hourly rate starting at $15.00 an hour, up for negotiation based on experience.
