Job Description

Solid State Coffee is a very quickly growing and evolving specialty coffee company based out of the Upper West Side on Manhattan devoted to roasting and serving some of the best coffees in New York.

We are looking to grow our team with someone who shares our values of great service, great coffee and a commitment to a platform that strives for sustainability and inclusivity. We are currently looking for full-time and part-time team members.

As a barista at our cafe, you are tasked with serving our coffees with an eye for quality of both coffee and service. We want to create an environment for our guests that is both new and exciting as well as warm and familiar. This means an ideal candidate isn’t necessarily a World Barista Champion (though that’d be great, please do apply!), but rather a kind, caring individual who understands our mission and wants to grow their knowledge and experience in the coffee world.

Other ideal qualities include:

Some experience in specialty coffee or related service industry
NYC Food Handler’s permit
Open availability including weekend days
Willingness and desire to learn!
