Job Description

We are a busy specialty coffee shop, small-batch coffee roaster & bakery in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. We are looking for a committed, experienced barista to join our team. Great compensation ($16 to $20 hourly + great tips).

About the job:
• Make a variety of hot and cold espresso and coffee drinks to precise standards
• Quality control of coffee, including cupping, dialing in, and supporting sourcing and evaluation of coffee as needed
• Taking orders from and interacting with customers, including monitoring lines, orders, etc
• Setting up drinks to facilitate expediting
• Food handling of baked goods
• Ongoing detailing / maintenance of work stations
• Restock and set up stations for incoming shifts
• Machine maintenance and technical support knowledge a bonus

• Creating a friendly and enjoyable environment for both customers and coworkers

About us:
• You will be part of the operations of a busy, small shop in a high traffic area, working with a small team including the owner to grow business by executing the best coffee and service in the city.
• We roast our own coffee locally and also bake at a second location in Williamsburg. We offer a range of 10-15 coffees of diverse origins and roast levels that employees must stay informed of to communicate each coffee’s qualities to customers.
• As this business was conceived during COVID, the counter is in the doorway with our products in the window.
