*Part time/Hourly: $18-$20 based on experience*

Artbean Coffee Roasters is looking for awesome people who just so happen to be baristas. Those that have a strong desire to learn and grow in the specialty coffee space. We’re also an art gallery so you’ll be surrounded by original artwork that attracts interesting creatives from all around the world (hence the name Artbean). We’re located on Doyers street in the heart of Chinatown right next to Nom Wah Tea Parlor, Apotheke and Chinese Tuxedo where you’ll serve many locals and tourists alike. We are a tiny 200sq/ft takeaway shop and have an open concept that welcomes passersby as they can’t walk by without seeing the art gallery or smelling the wonderful scents of our freshly roasted coffee.

*Part time/Hourly: $18-$20 based on experience*

Responsibilities:
– Welcome all customers with warm hospitality
– Maintain rigorous quality standards in a high volume environment and work within parameters set by our Lead Barista
– Develop strong working relationships with your team
– Maintain work area and equipment to a high degree of cleanliness
– Flexibly work across both Front of House and Coffee areas
– Participate in cuppings and tastings to remain knowledgeable about our products
– Ability to speak Mandrin/Cantonese is a bonus
– Interest in coffee roasting is a bonus

Requirements:
– Minimum 1 years experience in specialty coffee
– Be comfortable working shifts by yourself
– NYC Food Handlers Permit (or willing to obtain one after hire)
– Passion for providing an exceptional hospitality experience
– Detail-oriented and reliable
– Open and flexible availability
– Proven ability to multitask and prioritize
– Ability to dial in espresso and filter coffee
– An enthusiastic love of coffee
