Kitsby Cafe is an Asian-inspired café located in the center of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Our pastry-heavy offerings use seasonal ingredients and techniques from all over the world, all made in-house. Led by Culinary Director, Chef Jansen Chan, this growing company seeks kitchen team members to help to create pastries that transport, comfort, and excite.

Candidates should have a passion for desserts, a positive attitude, good communications skills, exceptional work ethics and a desire to learn. As a small operation, there are increased opportunities for growth and further training. Compensation is hourly and based on experience.

Job Summaries:

Barista: The Barista promotes coffee consumption by preparing and serving various coffee drinks and specialty drinks and providing superior customer service. The Barista will work in close cooperation with the server in every aspect of guest service.

What makes our dream Experienced Barista?

– You can jump right in and make the perfect cortado. That likely means you have 1-year (or more) experience in a specialty coffee environment, and that you can operate a manual espresso machine like La Marzocco in your sleep.

– You can dial-in mean shots and produce beautiful latte art and you’re super passionate about all-things-coffee.

– You’re fun to work with and to be around. We’d be happy to wake up early in the morning to work a shift with you, and you’ll always provide our customers with a friendly and welcoming experience.

– You’re proactive, invested in what you do, and take pride in your craft.

– You have availability to work weekends and nights.

– Strong plus: Having a New York Food Handlers’ Certificate.
