We are a friendly neighborhood coffee and kitchen shop in Greenpoint Brooklyn. We source our coffee beans from across the globe and proudly roast them right here in Brooklyn.

We are searching for a friendly and enthusiastic Barista who has a passion for personalized and exceptional customer service and developing relationships with customers.

Salary: $16.00/hr + tips. If the employee’s paycheck doesn’t equal to $22.00 per hour, we will provide the difference in pay.
Must be available to work Saturday and/or Sunday.

Responsibilities:
• Courteously greeting customers and providing them friendly service
• Making and serving coffee by following prescribed recipes
• Welcoming customers by determining their coffee interests and needs
• Ensuring the ambiance amongst staff and customers is a positive one
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary environment
• Keeping equipment operational; maintains supplies; performs preventive maintenance
• Maintaining and improving the appearance of the shop and coffee bar
• Liaising with the kitchen staff
• Performing other duties as assigned

Person Specification:
• Prior cafe or coffee shop experience
• Positive attitude
• A keen interest in coffee
• Enjoy manual work
• Must be able to stand for extended periods
• Punctual
• Organized
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Hold Food Handler’s Certificate a plus
