We are ansā a green coffee-tech startup company revolutionizing the industry with our cutting-edge fully sustainable on-demand roasting technology. ansā refers to the Japanese term meaning “the answer.” Our flagship product the variety e23 is a fully automatic micro-roaster that offers on-demand roasting, ensuring each cup of coffee is served with unparalleled freshness and flavor providing a viable and sustainable alternative to industrial roasting. Equipped with state-of-the-art AI and real-time progress monitoring sensors, our countertop machine delivers a perfectly balanced and homogeneous roast.

 

Position Overview:

We are excited to announce the opening of our Pop Up workshop coffee shop in Union Square in Manhattan starting September 2023. As we embark on this thrilling venture, we are seeking an experienced and skilled barista to join our team. This unique opportunity will span an initial duration of 3-6 months, and during the whole Pop Up period, with shifts ranging from 6-10 hours each day. (Mon-Sat).

Requirements:

  • NYC Food Handlers Permit 
  • In-depth knowledge of espresso, latte art, and brewing techniques
  • Minimum 1+ years experience in hospitality
  • This is for a part-time and full-time position
  • Friendly customer service
  • Open and flexible availability, including weekends & some holidays

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Greeting customers at the register and guiding them through our menu options
  • Maintain quality standards and work within parameters set by our Lead Barista
  • Enjoying working as a team
  • Maintain work area and equipment to a high degree of cleanliness
  • Keeping the bar area clean and restocked
  • Complying with health and safety regulation
  • Be on time, and always be respectful to everyone

 

Our compensation package is $25 per hour, plus tips.
