Job Description

City of Saints Coffee Roasters is currently seeking a courageous and charismatic individual to join a team of baristas at its newest and (soon-to-be) bustling Bryant Park cafe. This role is particularly well suited to folks who like working in dynamic, teamwork-heavy shops, and are confident enough in their service skills to tactfully navigate the sometimes tenuous balance of coffee-making and cafe-caretaking, emphasizing the value of guests “drinking what they like”. An amount of barista chops are certainly encouraging, but this place more pointedly requires individuals who are confident in service, adept multi-taskers, skillful situation adapters, and curious – not cutthroat – about coffee preparation. All of our baristas benefit from a full education & training program, as well as access to regular cuppings at our Bushwick roastery, along with a host of other benefits.

Although full time availability (five shifts) is preferred, part-timers who feel their skills resonate strongly with the above description are also encouraged to apply. In addition to supplying a resume, please provide a BRIEF PERSONAL STATEMENT in the body of an application email, a modest cover letter of sorts, so that we may begin the undoubtedly glorious process of getting to know who you are prior to combing over work history and educational background.
