Part Time Barista – Cashier (Weekend) Lisbonata (Brooklyn, NY)

Lisbonata is looking for an experienced barista who is passionate about coffee, matcha drinks, takes pride in their craft, and can handle a fast-paced environment. We value quality, consistency, and great service, and we’re looking for someone who can confidently manage the coffee bar while working as part of a small, dedicated team. We’re currently hiring 2-3 baristas to join our team for 5-day shifts, Wednesday through Sunday. Weekday shifts: AM 7:30 AM–12:30 PM | PM 12:30 PM–5:30 PM. Weekend shifts: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM | 10:00 AM–6:30 PM. Please indicate which shift(s) you’re interested in when applying.

Please note: this is a pick-up window position, so you’ll be working in varying temperatures.

Start date: ASAP

What You’ll Do
Dial in espresso, fine-tune recipes, and maintain consistency in every cup
Prepare matcha and a variety of specialty drinks
Serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages with care and efficiency
Provide warm, knowledgeable, and attentive customer service
Keep the bar clean, organized, and fully stocked
Handle busy weekend hours with focus, speed, and commitment to quality
Fold and prepare boxes for pastry service
Collaborate with the baking team and foster a supportive, positive workplace

What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 1 year of barista experience in a fast-paced coffee shop
A warm, welcoming approach to every customer is essential. As a neighborhood bakery with many loyal regulars, Lisbonata is committed to providing the best possible experience.
Strong understanding of dialing in espresso and making recipe adjustments
Ability to multitask and handle high-volume service while maintaining quality
Reliable, adaptable, and able to work independently when needed.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Maintaining overall cleanliness of the cafe (both behind the bar and on the floor) in compliance with NYC DOH standards.
