Part-Time / Full-Time Barista & Cashier
Lisbonata – Brooklyn, NY
Lisbonata is a busy neighborhood bakery focused on baked goods, soft serve, and hot chocolate, alongside great coffee and matcha. We’re looking for an experienced barista who enjoys a fast-paced shift, cares about customers, and is ready to jump in and get things done.
We’re a small team, so we count on each other. You should be comfortable working independently, noticing what needs attention, and taking care of it—from greeting a regular to restocking the bar or cleaning up between orders.
Schedule:
Wednesday–Thursday| 4 PM-9PM
Friday–Sunday | 8 AM-1:30 PM or 1 PM-7 PM or 4 PM- 9PM
Applicants must be available for at least 3 shifts per week. Shifts may vary, and flexibility to pick up additional shifts as needed is important.
Start date: ASAP
What You’ll Do
Welcome customers warmly, take orders, and handle payments accurately. Customer service is our top priority- every customer, every time, no exceptions.
Dial in espresso and prepare consistent coffee, matcha, hot chocolate, and specialty drinks.
Serve our baked goods, soft serve, and toppings with care and according to our standards.
Keep the bar and café clean, organized, and stocked throughout the day.
Stay focused and flexible when it gets busy, keeping orders moving without losing attention to quality or service.
Stay on top of daily tasks and cleaning without needing repeated reminders.
Fold pastry boxes and make sure supplies are ready for service.
Help your teammates and work closely with the baking team.
Who We’re Looking For
At least 1 year of barista experience in a busy coffee shop or bakery.
Someone dependable and punctual who shows up ready to work and takes their responsibilities seriously.
A friendly person who makes customers feel welcome—we have lots of neighborhood regulars!
Confidence dialing in espresso and adjusting recipes.
Someone who takes initiative, finishes what they start, and is happy to help wherever needed.
The ability to work independently and handle a busy shift with focus and a positive attitude.
Good cleaning habits and attention to food safety and NYC Department of Health standards.
Soft serve or ice cream experience is a big plus!
A Note About Our Setup
We serve customers through a pick-up window, so changing weather and temperatures are part of the job. Please be comfortable with this setup and come prepared for the conditions.
