BARISTA | COUNTERPERSON +

State-of-the-art cafe and coffee bar in Industry City (Brooklyn) is looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing barista to help start up an in-house food and beverage program.

• Set up, maintain, and close out our coffee bar and counter daily.
• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. We have a La Marzocco AV paired with Mahlkonig grinders. Parlor Coffee is our roasting partner.
• Oversee coffee service quality control.
• Maintain conversational knowledge of coffee offerings and brewing methods.
• Serve pastries, bottled drinks, and other prepared food items.
• Take cash and credit card payments using our POS system.
• Maintain a daily inventory and order coffee and prepared food items for delivery.
• Be able to work in a team environment, maintain professional appearance and workplace demeanor.
• Be proactive, self motivated, and organized with a strong attention to detail.
• Have at least one year of relevant experience, references required.
• Have a valid New York City DOHMH Food Protection Certificate.
• Be willing to work occasional weekend and evening hours when we host special events.

This is a full time position, Monday thru Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm.
Pay: $20/hour
