Little Choc Apothecary is looking to hire a full-time as well as part-time counter-service baristas and crepe makers.

$10/hr +tips

Responsibilities include:

• Making beautiful and consistent crepes, maintaining the Little Choc standard
• Operating a manual espresso machine, dialing in and tasting espresso throughout the day to ensure quality, and steaming non-dairy milks to make espresso-based beverages.
• Providing warm, friendly, and professional service to guests
• Being extremely punctual, and tidy in appearance
• Taking to-go orders, and operating the cash register

• Making juices, smoothies, and acai bowls
• Keeping an organized, and tidy work area
• Performing all support tasks in the cafe, including but not limited to baking, cleaning equipment, sweeping floors, and maintaining a clean environment.

Qualifications:

• 1-year barista experience required
• Knowledge of vegan food preferred
• Night & weekend availability

Little Choc Apothecary is the first fully vegan and gluten-free crêperie in NYC. We offer a creative selection of sweet and savory crepes, as well as homemade baked goods. Our products are completely plant-based, made from scratch, and are free of any chemical binders, gums, artificial flavors, and overly processed sugars and flours. We source our ingredients from farms and distributors who focus on sustainability, and providing local, organic, and fair trade products whenever possible.

Our liquid menu includes biodynamic wine and beer, freshly pressed juices, Partners coffee and espresso drinks, as well as an apothecary-like selection of house blended teas. With over 100 different herb varieties, our guests can request off menu, personalized tea blends based on their health benefits, or taste preferences. Any individual herb or tea blend is available to take home by the ounce.
