Barista & Counterstaff at Four & Twenty Blackbirds Cafe at Brooklyn Public Library

Four & Twenty Blackbirds is a pie bakery founded by sisters Emily and Melissa Elsen. They have created a local enterprise in Brooklyn that includes five locations: a pie shop, a cafe in the Brooklyn Public Library, a production kitchen, along with a seasonal storefront shop in the historical village of Orient, Long Island NY and most recently, a ten seat pie counter that offers wine, locally brewed beer and other specialty beverages and and baked treats.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable barista at our cafe at Brooklyn Public Library. This unique cafe location is housed in the historical Central Library at Grand Army Plaza. We serve the patrons and staff of this important public institution.

You must be friendly, customer service-oriented and dedicated to creating a high quality product.

You will be trained on and responsible for preparing all coffee, espresso and other hot beverages, cleaning and restocking and keeping an organized work area as well as opening and closing tasks.

REQUIREMENTS:

– MUST be reliable, responsible, and take pride in your work!

– ability to dial in espresso, and build coffee drinks

– be organized and able to multi-task

– enjoy providing good customer service is a must!

– take quality and hospitality seriously

– Must have at least 1 years of BARISTA or COUNTERSTAFF experience

– MUST be available to work weekend shifts.
