Job Description

Ground Central Coffee in the Financial District is in need of both part-time and full-time baristas with a flexible schedule.

Baristas should have at least two years of recent experience. We’re looking to interview and hire ASAP.

A little about you:

Should be able to dial in and calibrate an espresso machine at the most basic level.

Need to be able to close at least twice and a week and work at least ONE weekend shift.

Have experience working at least one “third wave” coffee shop.

Latte art is a must.

Friendliness is a MUST. We have a lot of regulars who like to engage in conversation and as high volume as we get, a little conversation goes a long way. The owners come into the shop frequently,  so have people skills and love .. or hell, even LIKE what you do to some extent where you’re “present” in the moment.  No anti-social, auto-pilot baristas.

Have recent POS experience. People should be able to rotate different stations.

Be fast and work well under pressure.
