JOB OVERVIEW

A Barista creates and serves specialty hot and cold beverages according to Eataly’s recipes and guests’ special requests. A Barista is knowledgeable about all menu items and provides high-quality, fast-paced customer service. Directly reports to the QSR General Manager.

• Prepares and serves authentic Italian espresso and coffee drinks
• Provide customers with product details, such as coffee blend or preparation description upon request
• Operates POS System
• Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team
• Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee, tea and drink preparation and products
• Cleans/Sanitize work areas, organized and compliant with Department of Health standards
• Weigh, grind, or pack coffee beans for guests according to their specifications
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma preferred
• Previous barista experience on a manual espresso machine preferred
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations and follow directions for all production
• Dexterity for rapid and consistent espresso creation

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally and as much as 10 pounds frequently
• Ability to stand and be mobile for up to 4 hours at a time
• Use of manual commercial espresso machine, measuring tools and cash register
