Job Description

MOCU-MOCU IS LOOKING TO HIRE A PART-TIME MOCU-MOCU CAFE ASSOCIATES WITH FLEXIBLE HOURS, 4DAYS PER WEEK INCLUDING WEEKENDS.
EXPERIENCE IN FOOD/PASTRY SERVICE IS PREFERRED.

3 SHIFT WORK POSITIONS AVAILABLE:
– 11AM TO 4:30PM ON WEEKDAYS (4 DAYS PER WEEK)
– 4:30PM TO 10PM (4 DAYS PER WEEK) INCLUDING WEEKENDS)
– 11AM TO 4:30PM (2 DAYS) + 4:30PM TO 10PM (2 DAYS) 4DAYS PER WEEK INCLUDING WEEKEND

Tasks:

– ability to multi-task

– ability to stand / be on foot for extended amount of hours

– ability / experience in preparation of espresso type beverages (Ex. Cafe Latte)

– washing saucers, espresso machine parts

– recommending new products to customers

– maintaining store inventory

– filling drinks and serving and presenting food in a professional way

– welcoming / engaging each customer individually, providing kind attention

– operating cashier / POS systems

– training new hires along with your own continued refinement if necessary

– creating simple soft drink menus

– keeping café, shop, register and bathroom area clean and organized; resetting tables if necessary, performing additional tasks assigned to ensure clean and comfortable environment.

– ability to work effectively in a team environment

– ability to lift and move up to 50lbs

Ideal candidate has an acquired experience in catering to rush* crowds while keeping calm and professional disposition.

Legally authorized to work in the US.

Qualifications and Experience:

– 1 year café or restaurant experience in NYC preferred

– High School diploma or equivalent

Background check required.
