Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assuring excellent customer service at all times
  • Placing purveyor orders
  • Conduct in-store training for new and current staff
  • Management of staff and ensure cafe guidelines are followed
  • Perform necessary administrative tasks including scheduling and required communication
  • Direct café inventory management
  • Maintaining store budgets and reaching sales targets
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment for staff and customers
  • Overview all aspects of the café

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must be passionate about quality customer service and the hospitality industry
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Previous experience in a management position within a restaurant or food industry environment
  • Effectively lead and communicate with staff
  • Take initiative in making store improvements
  • Experience in front of house servers and back of house duties such as coordination & management, inventory management, service oversight
  • Knowledge of coffee is preferred but not necessary
  • 2+ years experience in the restaurant/cafeteria industry
  • High School Diploma (Associates preferred)
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Ability to delegate duties as necessary
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs
