Objective:

Manage cafe’s day-to-day operations by resolving operational problems, supervising staff and instilling the Chalait hospitality. Set the standard for the coffee program by quality control and leading coffee education for staff.

The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision. They will be self-motivated and trustworthy. A clear and upbeat communication style is a must! The Cafe Manager ensures smooth running of our cafe operation and contributes in driving sustainable growth.

Responsibilities:

• Head of quality control and technical training for staff. Set the standard for the coffee program by dialing in coffee using various brewing methods daily.
• Supervision, staff management & training for the cafe.
• Instill a hospitality-focused training for staff. Provide feedback regularly on staff training.
• Assist and resolve issues related to equipment problems and operational issues.
• Handle customer complaints with professionalism and tact.
• Observe, report to management, and assist to resolve inefficiencies of the cafe and streamline FOH and BOH operations.
• Produce weekly line-up notes highlighting special offerings and/or promotions.
• Execute store promotions and seasonal specials with the assistance of management.

• Promote a positive work culture. Inspire positive team work and open communication.
• Ensure the café is well stocked, clean, organized and free of any issues. Accountable for maintaining café at peak performance and appearance.
• Responsible for scheduling. Manage staff communication and resolve staff conflicts.
• Any technical errors must be resolved and addressed as soon as possible. Report errors on a weekly basis via summary report format.
• Drive sales and revenue growth through operational excellence.
