Hello New York Coffee peeps!
PORTS Coffee & Tea is a neighborhood specialty espresso bar in the heart of Chelsea. Recently mentioned as one of the best coffee bars in the country by New York Magazine, we are famous for the nicest baristas in town and exceptional customer service.
We are looking for happy, fun-loving, friendly and reliable baristas to join our tight-knit barista family and take our customers further in their coffee journey. Top candidates will have experience with specialty coffee roasters.
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOU
Above all you are a coffee lover and you wear your barista badge proudly. You can talk passionately about single origin profiles, pull expert espresso shots and consistent latte art. You have to love people, have excellent customer service skills and demonstrate a can-do attitude. You’re a hard worker even during downtime. You have goals but you don’t take yourself too seriously. You care about the environment. You try to be a good citizen as best you can. You care about where the things you consume come from and what happens around you. You have a passion in life that consumes you outside of work.

At PORTS, we love coffee and tea. We believe that every cup should taste exceptionally good. That’s why every cup we serve is brewed to order, made with the best beans and roasted with love by our partner Heart Roasters from Portland, OR.
Socially responsible, organically grown and freshly roasted coffee is what we’re all about. But we think it’s about time every New Yorker deserves to drink great coffee. If tight black jeans, skinny scarf and a sketchpad is your thing that’s cool. But if you’re more of a suit-and-tie Blackberry type there is no reason yours should taste any less rich, complex and smooth than the other guy’s. Our coffee tastes great. Our menu is simple. Our baristas are friendly. If we made your day a little bit better, we’re happy.
