Cafe Manager

The Twisted Tulip is seeking a Cafe Manager for our soon to open shop in Livingston NJ. This is a wonderful opportunity for a passionate barista to make the next career step, or for an experienced manager to have more responsibility and opportunity.

We are a high-end cafe and the Cafe Manager needs to be both managerial, and hands-on. The candidate should be skilled in espresso, pour overs, latte art, tea, and of course in service. Experience with roasting is a strong plus. This is a third wave coffee shop so you will need to be passionate about all things coffee, tea, and cafe life!

This job offers lots of opportunity and creativity to take charge of the shop. You will run the day-to-day operation of the shop. Responsibilities include:
– staffing
– developing menu
– selecting vendors and overseeing
– cleaning and assuring equipment is maintained
– passionate about educating staff and customers on coffee and tea
– marketing the shop including social media and networking
– establishing efficient operations including scheduling, procedures, etc.

Ideally you will have managed a shop before but if you are an experienced barista who is highly organized and devoted, we welcome you to contact us about this position. All passionate coffee professionals are welcome to apply.

While we are not near public transportation, we are located at a busy intersection with easy access and plenty of parking. A car is required to get here. Our shop is about 1,000 sf.
