Job Description

Konbini will be a Japanese Style Bakery & Bistro located at 312 5th Avenue serving sandwiches, bentos, salads, breads, pastries, coffee, etc. We are currently under construction looking to open beginning of August. We are looking for a hard working, service-oriented Barista to start and manage our coffee program.

A good candidate has:
-3+ years management experience in a beverage/food environment
-Ability to supervise day-to-day operations of the cafe, including training and development of new staff
-Coffee brewing and Quality Control, including dialing in, maintaining consistent espresso extraction and experience in batch brewing.
-Stocking and cleaning throughout shift according to NYC Dept of Health standards
-Great customer service skills with a passion and interest for coffee, from origin to cup (We use Devoción Coffee)
-Responsible cash management practice
-Experience in a high volume service environment
-A can-do, no task too little attitude
-Early morning availability in addition to ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays
-NYC DOH Food Handler’s certificate, or is willing to get one ASAP.



We are currently looking for both full time and part time employees, and are flexible with scheduling. Starting pay is competitive and will be discussed upon interviewing.
