Koneko Cat Café is looking for a full-time Manager in our cafe.

Koneko is a mission-driven business, whose goal is to find forever homes for cats that are scheduled to be euthanized. We have adopted over 1,000 cats since opening in 2016.

Koneko’s operations are two-prong — we operate a front of house café/coffeeshop, where we also serve food/dessert/alcohol; adjacent to this is our cattery, where guests can interact with (and potentially) adopt the 15-20 cats that we foster at a time.

The manager position is for the CAFE area. You must have a minimum of 3 years food-industry experience in a leadership role, where you were responsible for managing a team in a fast-paced environment. Being fluent in interpersonal skills, people management, customer service, schedule management, and leading a highly diverse group intuitively are a must. Being an animal lover and alignment with our mission to adopt rescued cats is a must as well.

Ideally we are looking for someone who has experience cooking/barista-ing as well, but this is not a must. The manager will be responsible for keeping track of the cafe’s inventory, and placing orders with vendors as well, so experience with this is helpful.
