Full-Time Cafe Manager
Job Description
Milk & Pull Managers work to cultivate a positive working environment- encouraging skill development and setting examples of hospitality-focused interactions. The Cafe Manager reports to and works with the Operations Director. Together they implement creative new sales strategies, recruit talent and work to improve day-to-day operations.
The Store Manager is someone who:

-Anticipates roadblocks and provides thoughtful, practical solutions.

-Encourages a supportive environment by listening to peers, troubleshooting and keeping communication lines open.
-Exemplifies excellent barista skills during busy hours (latte art, clean presentation and maintaining a clean bar) and impart those skills onto peers.
Responsibilities
This is a short list of responsibilities and does not encapsulate the entirety of job duties.
Scheduling: Strategically plan on staffing the store for business hours during peak and off-peak seasons. Approve time off requests and utilize the team to cover shifts. Maintaining a consistent, planned schedule that staff can rely on. Keeping lines of communications open about gaps that need to be filled. Setting weekly communication check-ins and quarterly staff meetings.
Ordering/Inventory: Delegate daily inventory tasks and conduct weekly inventory checks. Work with vendors to keep the store stocked and adjust according to demand. Works with the Operations Director to re-work offerings, if necessary.
Day to Day
Guiding bar flow, evaluating coffee quality and ensure steps of service to drink production are thoroughly completed.
Managing kitchen output-minimizing waste, delegating deep cleans, assessing quality of food output.
Keeping the store presentable and clean according to NYCDOH protocols.
Anticipating busy hours and organizing proper support
Requirements
Ability to stand, lift, bend for 8 hours at a time.
Full use of motor skills-hands, finger manipulation, hand-eye coordination, knife skills, safe food handling tool management.
Constant use of voice to communicate with others
Ability to speak English (spanish is a plus)
Open availability with flexibility to meet the store needs (weekends are a necessity).
This is a full time position, with an average of 32-40 hours required per week. 4 out of 5 shifts are required to work behind the bar, 1 shift for office hours (at the cafe location) depending on store needs.
$20 per hour with tips included (average $7-10/hour of cc tips, additionally)
