We are looking for a wonderful Manager to run our Long Island City Location. Our Managers are coffee superstars with the number one priority of looking after the baristas and kitchen staff to ensure they are happy and have everything they need to succeed in their jobs. You must have a good handle on HR and have the ability to communicate effectively. Our ideal is someone who has managed a coffee business with food and or a restaurant. You must have a good working knowledge of coffee, and a palate, as you will be expected to taste and quality control drinks (after further training if required).
Duties and Responsibilities:
* HR for the LIC store employees and all kitchen employees
* Hire, train, and manage all employees so that they are happy, safe and are continually performing at their best
* Manage the schedule for optimization and labor costs
* Educate and inspire staff ensuring amazing customer service and quality coffee (NOTE: you do not have to be a coffee professional just a love and understanding is enough)
* Drive sales for growth
* Ensure customer service and quality coffee
* Manage inventory and offerings
* Work with key stakeholders including Landlord
* Manage the maintenance and smooth running of the facility including utilities, security, trash
* Control store services and COG’s
* DOH inspections
Required experience/skills:
* 3 years management experience
* Speciality coffee experience preferred
* Spanish speaking a plus
* Great project management skills
* Ability to start and finish a project
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Ability to juggle multiple issues at once
* Previous experience with Square inventory and scheduling
Our Managers go on to great things, we look to our Managers to join our Management team in wholesale including Education, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Roasting and Operations.
Schedule is Tuesday – Saturday, 8am – 4pm, but our Managers are expected to keep the store staffed and operating during business hours, so covering shifts may be necessary.

You need the ability to work on your feet for 8+ hours, lift up to 30lbs, be able to climb ladders, and the ability to hear audible cues.
