Milk & Pull Coffee Roasters is looking for a Cafe Manager for our Bed stuy location. We have three cafes within Brooklyn/Queens. We pride ourselves on being the bustling neighborhood “go-to” for coffee/sandwiches where customers and baristas have built a strong community with each other. We are looking for a strong team leader for our Bedstuy location who will continue to build on those bonds while providing our staff with support and skill development. The Cafe Manager works closely with the Operations Director to keep things at the shop running smoothly and searches for new ways to improve day to day functions.

Responsibilities:

-Uphold Milk & Pull’s coffee standards by training and following up with all staff. (Imparting knowledge of dialing-in, milk steaming and waste reduction)

-Organize and implement systems so that it remains functional for the staff. This includes twice weekly inventory, deep cleans and general equipment maintenance.

-Leading the team in hospitality-focused service and empowering the staff to problem solve in effective ways.

Qualifications:

2+ years as a barista in a high volume specialty coffee environment. Knowledge of dialing in, bar flow management, and other technical barista skills.

Previous experience in a management or leadership role that included: onboarding/training, hospitals focused service, and inventory tracking.

Diligent in communicating promptly and effectively. The cafe manager takes less on diffusing situations, handling employee disagreements and monitoring the wellness of everyone at work.

Food handlers is a requirement.
