Position: Part-Time Cashier/Barista
Location: In person – Sip and Co

Sip and Co is a specialty café that roasts its own coffee and prepares all food to order. We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused Cashier/Barista to join our small team.

Compensation & Schedule

Job Type: Part-time
Hourly Rate: Starting at $18/hour, based on experience
Tips: Average $9–$12/hour

Shifts: Typically 6–9 hours per day; open availability is preferred

Key Responsibilities

Greet customers and provide friendly, efficient service
Assist guests with menu questions and make recommendations as needed
Process orders and payments accurately, including all drink and food modifications (milk type, size, hot/iced, for here/to go, etc.)
Brew filter coffee, serve cold brew, and handle pastries and made-to-order food items
Prepare espresso-based beverages (following training)
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar, register, and dining area
Follow all health, safety, and food-handling regulations
Work as a team, and enjoy a team working environment

Qualifications

Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Previous barista or café experience is a plus, but not required; training will be provided
