Coffee Specialist (Management)

We are launching our line of Organic/Fair Trade Vitaz Coffee in NYC and for that reason is paramount for us to build a strong team that eventually would have the opportunity to grow within the company locally and/or internationally.

We’re looking to fill the position of Coffee Aficionado; you have mastered the art of the Barista. You understand the ins and outs of the coffee industry and the new trends, you have a professional instinct to collaborate with suppliers and colleagues, and you are a fervent follower of sustainable and eco-friendly practices. In short, you are ready to take your coffee career to the next level.

You will have the opportunity to learn, understand and appreciate the other side of the coffee industry, Us+E will share its passion and commitment to get to the main source of our organic/fair trade green beans. The way that we roast our coffee, why we care about the little details such as traceability and coffee specs and our pursuit for the artisanal coffee producers located in some of the exotic regions of Mexico. We do not settle for the average.

What we’re looking for from you as an independent contractor,
• You have a strong sense of leadership.
• You are completely hands-on in various roles within the operational procedures.
• You understand and engage with potential customers, we will give you the
necessary tools and knowledge to expand Vitaz Coffee Brand
• You are charismatic, articulate, and an effective communicator with clients and
colleagues.
• You are a confident individual looking for new challenges.
• You contribute to the growing process of Vitaz Coffee brand, sharing your
thoughts and ideas to make the brand more appealing to a demanding clientele.
• You have your NYC food handler card and/or you are willing to get one in the first
30 days.
• You must have at least 3 years of previous Specialty Coffee experience.
• You have at least 2 years of experience in management-level positions.
• You are bilingual, it would be a plus.

What you can expect from us:
• Initially $20 per hour PT
• 8% Sales commissions
• Quarterly performance-based bonuses upon specific sales milestones
• Profit sharing upon market performance and profitability, after the pre-established
trial period

 Learn the process of roasting coffee and keynotes of the roasting curve.
 Packaging and sealing,
 How to approach different sales channels (understand the client’s needs)
 Learn how to manage the supply chain.
 Maintain the sales track for each client.
