Full-Time Coffee Bar Manager
Job Description
Provide leadership to café employees and direct retail operations in the new coffee bar. Work directly with the team, manage the café, and communicate with customers and clients in order to provide an unsurpassed coffee experience.
We are looking for an outgoing, innovative Manager to make clients feel at home and to guarantee their contentment. You will furnish clients with above-and-beyond service to ensure a memorable and genuine experience. The goal is to create a one of a kind guest experience and continue to find cutting edge promotions and products to keep our guests coming back.
Recipe to Succeed:
- To increase participation and drive top line sales in coffee bar operation
- Lead process to develop a dynamic and robust promotional calendar for coffee bar
- Ensure promotional calendar package contains all appropriate information and is shared with clients in a timely manner
- Maximize POS technology to increase speed of service and reduce lines
- Uses approved design programs to produce marketing collateral
- Lead a monthly meeting to gain client feedback on new initiatives
- Ensure effective tracking of new initiatives
- Develop relationships with local vendors to feature seasonal products at the coffee bar
- Work to implement and promote green initiatives
- Make sure all QA and sanitation standards are maintained on a daily basis
- Ensure dress code, uniform and personal appearance of staff are kept to the highest standard
- Coordinate daily signage and development of marketing material
- Collaborate with client event operations team on planning and promoting special events
- Create “memorable moments” by providing a unique and exceptional customer experience
- Contribute to the development of coffee bar web site and update social media with new programs/promotions
Necessary Ingredients:
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience
- 3-5 years minimum food service experience, including 2 years at the management level preferably with coffee bar experience
- Design and merchandise knowledge beneficial
- Demonstrated skill in handling multiple tasks and highly organized
- Supervising, scheduling, training, management & coaching skills
- Operational knowledge of the cash register, cash handling procedures and reconciliation of multiple cash banks and reports
- Responsible for planning, marketing and executing special events/promotions in the cafe
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Manages time effectively and prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively in an assertive manner
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Demonstrates good judgment and decision making skills
- Ability to multi-task as well as stay on task and concentrate with constant interruptions
- Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity & ethical behavior
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- ServSafe or Department of Health certification a plus
