We are hiring General Managers to run existing locations, and also new locations which have yet to open.
We’re in the specialty coffee business and our priority is serving the people around us. We source and roast our coffee with unabashed pride. Thought and conversation go into every single decision that is made and we know that each individual that walks through our door is on the receiving end of the outcome. Our goal is to connect with that individual, even if that connection is simply getting him/her a cup of coffee. If this sounds like a place where you’d fit right in, we’d love to meet you.
We’re looking for someone who has:
3+ years experience in the specialty coffee industry (and food/beverage/café world)
Lives in NY or is willing to relocate.
A solid, working knowledge of specialty coffee & latte art capabilities
Top-notch communication skills.
Ease, comfort, and joy in engaging people
A natural tendency to think 3 steps ahead
A superb ability on pro-active problem solving
Comfort in diffusing conflict in an objective manner
A “Yes, and. . .” attitude
The ability to remove the word “No” from your vocabulary
Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours a week
Open availability and willingness to be on call
NY food protection certificate (this is a MUST- but if you don’t have it, you must be willing to get before starting)
A natural instinct to set a high standard and continually raise the bar
You can expect to be responsible for:
Overseeing all ordering of in store products
Drafting weekly schedule and overseeing employees’ time-clock punches
Oversee inventory/monitor waste
Maintaining high standard of quality control
Maintaining high standard of cleanliness and maintenance of store
Efficient & objective management of the staff and being their “Go-to”
Coordinating efficient FOH/BOH communication
Weekly updates to Ownership/Regional management
Effectively navigating Customer relations
Thinking on your feet
