Coffee Program Manager

The Porch is a bar/cafe/venue opening in the fall in Harlem seeking a qualified person to build and run our coffee program! The Coffee Program Manager will be responsible for building the program from the ground up. They will develop the coffee menu, work with suppliers, purchase and keep track of inventory, train and supervise staff, implement health and sanitation procedures, and monitor and optimize the financial performance of the coffee program. The Coffee Program Manager will supervise staff independently and work closely with the owners, leads, and general manager.

Requirements:

• Passionate and extremely knowledgeable about coffee
• Initiative to build a coffee program from scratch
• Experience in purchasing and inventory management
• Experience training and supervising staff
• Ability to monitor sales and meet targets
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Comfortable with food prep/operating ovens
• Interested in live music, comfortable in loud environments and excited to be part of a venue
• Able to help customers who possess a variety of coffee knowledge
• Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Possess a NY Food Protection Certificate
• Proof of vaccination required (as per NYC mandate)
