Paloma Coffee & Bakery seeks a part-time assistant (currently Mondays and Thursdays) for our roasting and production operations. The type of person we’re seeking is detail oriented and a bit of a perfectionist, as you will be responsible for manufacturing our product and achieving a clean and uniform aesthetic with our bags destined for our shelves and others’.

A love of coffee and/or existing coffee knowledge is helpful, but mostly we need folks with a great, positive attitude who want to work hard to create a product that people love and become part of a dedicated team.

This position has the opportunity to begin learning to roast coffee as an apprentice of the head roaster after 3 months of exceptional performance.

Primary job duties are to assist the head roaster with aspects of production, including but not limited to:
– lifting bags of green coffee on and off shelves (must be able to lift at least 80lbs)
– weighing out batches of green coffee according to production schedule
– labeling bags and organizing during pre-production
– filling & sealing retail and bulk coffee bags with the weigh and fill and heat sealing machines
– preparing all bagged coffees in cases for delivery
– cleanup
