The Roxy Hotel in Tribeca is seeking a Café Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the Roxy Café. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with a passion for hospitality, deep coffee expertise, and the ability to inspire a high-performing team.
As Café Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of the café experience—specialty coffee, food service, takeaway, and branded merchandise. You’ll be on the floor during peak hours, engaging with guests, coaching your team, and ensuring every detail reflects the Roxy’s unique blend of culture and hospitality. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and knows how to balance coffee culture with outstanding guest service.
What You’ll Do
• Manage daily café operations, ensuring smooth service across coffee, food, takeaway, and retail.
• Lead by example during high-volume service, training and coaching staff in real time.
• Maintain the highest standards in espresso beverages—dialing in espresso, milk texture, latte art, and recipe consistency.
• Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Director on menu updates and seasonal coffee/food offerings.
• Oversee retail merchandise presentation, inventory, and sales.
• Build strong guest relationships, manage feedback, and encourage loyalty.
• Hire, train, and develop baristas and café staff, fostering a culture of accountability and hospitality.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and financial policies.
What We’re Looking For
• 2–3 years of progressive management experience in a café or high-volume coffee environment.
• Strong barista background and proven expertise in specialty/third-wave coffee.
• Experience with POS systems, inventory controls, and retail management.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with a passion for training and development.
• Flexible availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
