Job Description

The Queens Kickshaw is a fast-paced specialty coffee shop, restaurant, and craft beer bar in Astoria, Queens, NY, recently voted “Best Coffeehouse” in NY for 2012 by the Village Voice. We are seeking a seasoned barista who can pull a great shot, legitimately call milk your medium, provide seamless service, and convey excitement about great food and drink.

Our setup:
– 3 group La Marzocco Strada
– V60 pourover bar
– Beans by Coffee Labs Roasters (www.coffeelabs.com)

Responsibilities:
– Pull consistently delicious espresso shots, pour latte art, and hand-brew coffee to order
– Ring up sales accurately
– Provide service to customers sitting at the bar (who order food and drink)
– Keep the bar environs and machine clean throughout, and at the end of a shift
– Provide fantastic customer service
– Knowledge of the entire food and drink menu
