Located in Midtown Manhattan, a team of hospitality and specialty coffee professional is bringing you an exciting and unique hospitality concept – Den Social – that is composed of 3 components: Den Social Lounge, Karaoke, and the Cafe.

At the Cafe, we aim to provide a hospitality-driven, local community-focused specialty coffee experience to every single guest that comes through our door.

We are currently looking for passionate specialty coffee baristas who:

1. Are obsessed with customers’ needs
2. Believed in genuine hospitality and great work ethics
3. Have the humility to serve and modesty to learn
4. Insists on providing consistency and high standards
5. Understand “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts”
6. Have the right judgment to make the right decision

At Den Social Cafe, we provide a specialty coffee shop that: 

1. Serves specialty-grade only coffees that are roasted weekly locally in LCI
2. Produces espresso with high-end coffee equipment (Kees van der Westen, Mahkonig K-30)
3. Provides barista training by specialty coffee professionals and roaster
4. Allows you to advance your career as a professional barista

To qualify for the position, you need to have/be:

1. At least 6 months to 1 year of beverage service experience (incl. bubble tea shops, specialty coffee shops, and cafes)
2. Experience preferably in operating semi-automatic espresso machines and grinders
3. Must be able to work weekends, opening or closing (7 am – 6 pm)
4. Must be able to stand for long hours (7 – 8 hours) and lift more than 25 lb
5. Fluent and be able to communicate effectively in English
