Job Description

Our Retail Operations Director will be accountable for the financial, operational, and interpersonal successes of our retail cafes. This individual will lead and supervise the performance of our store managers and will maintain thorough awareness and accountability of our stores’ profits and losses, standard operating procedures, team morale, and the overall quality of our guest experience.

This individual will be responsible for:

• Cultivating and leading strong, dynamic teams that value hospitality, communication, organization, and quality
• Maintaining budgetary accountability geared toward profitability for all stores
• Constant execution of and improvement upon standard operating procedures that reflect values of efficiency, engagement, and quality
• Maintenance of healthy and frequent communication between all stores as well as our Production & Education Teams and external vendors
• Performing a variety of roles on the floor as needed in order to provide support and to maintain awareness of best practices
• Recruiting, hiring, coaching, and firing of store managers as needed

This individual should be:

• Financially responsible and organized, with an ability to construct arguments taking economic repercussions into account

This individual should have:

• 3+ years retail management experience, preferably overseeing multiple units
• Experience in coffee, food, or beverage, preferably in a position emphasizing palate development and an ability to discuss flavor thoughtfully and unpretentiously
