Full-Time Director of Sales
Job Description
Poursteady is a growing, Brooklyn-based manufacturer of commercial equipment for the specialty coffee industry. We are seeking an experienced coffee professional to lead sales and generate revenue. This person will contribute directly to our brand, our culture, and the growth of our company. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to make a difference with a company poised to do great things.
The candidate in this role will help grow our revenue through relationships with distributors and building a pipeline of new customers. They should be comfortable and willing to travel to meet goals. This person will work closely with the executive team – and really get to know our products and our customers. They will identify relevant markets and segments, develop new leads, manage the sales process, and use data to evaluate and improve the process.
Note that this is a technical sales position. The right candidate will come from the coffee industry and be able to quickly understand the customers’ requirements, our technology, and demonstrate confidence when presenting our products to a range of audiences.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a scalable outbound sales operation
- Meet quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Maintain our CRM tool to manage contacts and communications with our leads and customers
- Develop qualified lists of potential customers and distributors
- Develop relationships with our distributors and bring in new leads
- Advise on marketing efforts, as applicable and relevant to sales
- Represent Poursteady, promote the brand, and generate leads and revenue via trade shows and other public-facing events
- Be a key voice within our company and the direction we are headed
Who you are
- Competent and well-organized: you enjoy problem solving and don’t get frustrated when answers/solutions are hard to come to; you are able to meet deadlines while juggling multiple priorities
- A humble leader: you’re able to see the big picture, while also able to spend the time it takes with a specific customer to make a sale and grow the relationship
- Have excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence, you value tolerance, and expects the same from the people you work with
- Lives in NYC and can commute to Sunset Park on an as-needed basis – partial remote option available
- You like coffee!

Working at Poursteady
- This is a full-time position. Our hours are 10am-6pm Monday-Friday.
- Following a successful initial 30-day contract period, compensation to include salary, medical benefits, and options package

Compensation
$80K-$120K annual salary based on experience. Bonus based on performance and revenue targets. Employee stock options plan. Competitive benefits package including health insurance and 401K.
