Job Description

We’re a mixed use cafe/retail space with locations in Greenpoint and Williamsburg, Brooklyn looking for an experienced barista (3 days per week 26-30 hrs). We serve our own in-house roasted coffee (which we’re super proud of), and sell flowers, plants and home goods from independent makers.

We’re looking for people with great attitudes that take pride in making amazing drinks and being a leading part of a super tight-knit team. Experience with La Marzocco machines, espresso/latte drinks/latte art and drip coffee required. Previous 3rd Wave coffee training goes to the front on the line. Please have NYC Food Handlers permit. Must be flexible/able to work weekends. Enthusiasm with assisting customers in the other aspects of our business, such as plant knowledge/care (we will train you), ringing up sales, etc is also ideal.

Duties will include:
– Making fantastic Coffee/Espresso/Tea (Our own line of coffee, and tea from both Kettl & Bellocq.)
– Offering exceptional customer service
– Maintaining, fully stocking, and cleaning coffee station
– Assisting customers with purchases from the retail section of the store
– Being knowledgable about our products and their artists/designers
– Enthusiasm to learn about plant types/care instructions
– Daily care for our Flower/Plants
– Keeping shop clean and presentable at all times!

Pay: $15/hr plus tips (generally $20-26/hr)
