Job Description:

Barista is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages and other hot and cold drinks in a coffee shop or cafe. The role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and a strong knowledge of coffee and other beverages.
Key Responsibilities:
●Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, smoothies, and other drinks according to established recipes and customer preferences
●Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items
●Ensure that all drinks are made to the highest quality standards and are presented in an attractive and appealing manner
●Keep the coffee shop clean and organized, including maintaining equipment, cleaning workstations, and ensuring that the dining area is tidy
●Manage inventory and restock supplies, including coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other ingredients
●Take orders and process payments using a POS system
●Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner
●Maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the coffee shop, promoting a positive customer experience
●Train and mentor new staff members, sharing knowledge and expertise in coffee and other beverages
Qualifications:
●Proven experience as a barista in a fast-paced coffee shop or cafe
●Knowledge of coffee brewing methods, espresso drinks, and other beverages
●Excellent customer service skills, including strong communication and interpersonal skills
●Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other staff members
●Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
●Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
●High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in coffee preparation is a plus
●Food Handlers license preferred
Physical Requirements:
●Standing for extended periods of time
Bending, stooping, and lifting up to 30 pounds

Salary:
The salary can vary depending on location, experience, and other factors, but generally ranges from $16 to $20 per hour guaranteed daily pay plus tips.
