Job Title: Barista

Position Overview:
Bed-Stuy Bakery is seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality coffee beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:
– Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and teas with precision and care.
– Operate coffee-making equipment, including espresso machines and grinders.
– Assist customers with menu selections, offering suggestions and information on our bakery items.
– Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and seating area.
– Ensure all food and beverages are prepared to health and safety standards.
– Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system accurately.
– Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.

Qualifications:
– Previous barista or coffee shop experience preferred.
– Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
– Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
– Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
– Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
– Passion for coffee and an interest in learning more about brewing techniques and flavors.
